Many of our customers at Crowd Vox are constantly hunting for the gem of opportunities which has low competition and high potential returns.
So we decided to do some research of our own to see what will be hot in 2016, and we came up with this list.
We think it will do wonders to your profit if you can monetize in any of these niches. Of course this is no sure-shot but this is as close to sure-shot as you can get in the Internet world.
Drone is basically a flying robot. Initially meant to serve military, Drones started appearing under common/fun use after high cost barrier was broken. Not only for fun, they are useful for firefighting and rescue, surveillance, traffic monitoring, weather observation and search, among other things.
As Drones continue to gain popularity in US and other countries, the market is still growing at very fast rate. It can even turn into a billion dollar industry in future. See google trends report below:
2. Drone accessories
As Drone market grow up, Drones accessories demand will rise up too. Infact accessories being less mainstream means less competition from big companies. Not only that, but this is one of the areas where you can get innovative. Maybe build a drone accessory catalogue website or drone accessories comparison website. There are many ideas to explore.
The interest is yet to catch up in other places outside US – so this might be a good time to think about this niche.
3. 3D printers
3D printer is unlike of the common printers. On a 3D printer the object is printed by three dimension. A 3D model is built up layer by layer. Although it came into existence in 1986 but it achieved breakthrough in recent years. The market still shows solid growth – 3D printer shipments are forecast to more than double every year between 2016 and 2019.
We believe this might just be the right time to dig deeper and understand what ‘information problems’ people are facing while choosing 3d printers and solve it through your website.
Some examples could be:
– Comparison engine of 3d printers (affiliate with vendors to earn commissions per sale)
– Feature-wise comparison website (Include information about running costs)
– Maybe even on-demand 3d printing service (Not everyone can afford a 3d printer, but many can be served from a 3d prototyping business)
4. Olympics merchandise
With Olympics 2016 in full hype, it might be a mistake to not consider Olympics merchandise this year as a niche. In 2012, Olympic success triggered merchandise sales of £100m. Watch out what happens this year. Need a little inspiration? Look for ‘olympic merchandise’ on google and try reselling them on a website.
5. Legal Cannabis
Marijuana (Cannabis) is a controversial substance – but the benefits it offers cannot be ignored. Google shopping trends upwards for ‘legal cannabis’:
